In the interview, De Niro compared Trump to Hitler and Mussolini, two infamous historical personalities, and implied that Trump\u2019s reelection will cause anarchy.\n\n\n\n

On his social media platform X, Musk blasted De Niro for drawing a connection between Trump\u2019s first four years in office and the totalitarian regimes of Hitler and Mussolini.\n\n\n\n

This, he said, \u201cmakes no sense\u201d because Trump had already served as president for four years and his programs were completely different from Hitler\u2019s. Musk further brought up the Abraham Accords, elaborating on how Trump\u2019s actions differed greatly from what Hitler would have endorsed.\n\n\n\n

Speaking about the \u201cbanality of evil\u201d and the entitlement that he observes in both Trump and his villainous character in Martin Scorsese\u2019s 2023 crime drama \u201cKiller of The Flower Moon,\u201d the actor also made comparisons between the two.\n\n\n\n

Criticizing Trump is nothing new for De Niro; in fact, he made headlines in 2018 when he memorably cursed out Trump at the Tony Awards. The unwavering position he has taken shows how seriously he takes the possibility that Trump may harm America.\n\n\n\n
