{"id":4053,"date":"2024-08-06T21:29:52","date_gmt":"2024-08-06T21:29:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sciencesandnatures.com\/?p=4053"},"modified":"2024-08-06T21:29:53","modified_gmt":"2024-08-06T21:29:53","slug":"king-charles-tells-friends-hes-not-content-with-archie-and-lilibet-video-calls-wants-to-be-present-in-their-lives","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sciencesandnatures.com\/king-charles-tells-friends-hes-not-content-with-archie-and-lilibet-video-calls-wants-to-be-present-in-their-lives\/","title":{"rendered":"King Charles tells friends he\u2019s \u201cnot content\u201d with Archie and Lilibet video calls \u2013 wants to be \u201cpresent\u201d in their lives"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><a href="%5C%22https:%5C/%5C/en.newsner.com%5C/tag%5C/king-charles%5C/%5C%22">King Charles\u00a0may not have seen nearly as much of grandchildren\u00a0</a><a href="%5C%22https:%5C/%5C/en.newsner.com%5C/tag%5C/prince-archie%5C/%5C%22">Prince Archie\u00a0and\u00a0</a><a href="%5C%22https:%5C/%5C/en.newsner.com%5C/tag%5C/princess-lilibet%5C/%5C%22">Princess Lilibet\u00a0as he would have liked, but that\u2019s something he\u2019s dead set on rectifying in the future.\n\n\n\n<p>Perhaps unsurprisingly, the fallout from&nbsp;<a href="%5C%22https:%5C/%5C/en.newsner.com%5C/tag%5C/prince-harry%5C/%5C%22">Prince Harry&nbsp;and&nbsp;</a><a href="%5C%22https:%5C/%5C/en.newsner.com%5C/tag%5C/meghan-markle%5C/%5C%22">Meghan Markle\u2019s&nbsp;decision to leave the Royal Family \u2013 and then go on to tell the world everything that\u2019s wrong with it \u2013 has created a messy maelstrom where their relations to the British monarchy are concerned.\n\n\n\n<p>A byproduct if that is that the Sussexes don\u2019t return to the UK often, and a byproduct of&nbsp;<em>that&nbsp;is that their children, Archie and Lilibet, are growing up without the opportunity to forge loving, lasting bonds with the British half of their family.\n\n\n\n<p>Yet while Harry and Meghan\u2019s strained relationship with the likes of King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William, and Kate Middleton shows very little outward signs of improvement, there is at least one person who is desperate to find some light in amongst all the darkness.\n\n\n\n</p><p><a href="%5C%22https:%5C/%5C/www.mirror.co.uk%5C/news%5C/royals%5C/king-charles-not-content-archie-32993457%5C%22" target='\"_blank\"' rel='\"noreferrer' noopener>According to the Daily Mirror,&nbsp;King Charles has told friends that he\u2019s less than content with only getting to see Archie, 5, and Lilibet, 3, on occasional video calls. The outlet claims the monarch has only met Archie a handful of times, and Lilibet just once.\n\n\n\n<p>Last&nbsp;<a href="%5C%22https:%5C/%5C/en.newsner.com%5C/royal%5C/king-charles-held-back-gift-for-princess-lilibets-3rd-birthday-until-family-rift-is-healed-claims-expert%5C/%5C%22">week it was reported&nbsp;that the King had extended his birthday wishes to Lilibet as she turned three, along with a gift.
