Even after Joey died from cervical cancer when Indy was just two years old, Rory continued to perform and little Indy continued appearing onstage with her father.\n\n\n\n</p><p>It wasn\u2019t until recently that Indy, expressed her desire to perform alongside her father.\n\n\n\n</p><p>\n\n\n\n</p><p>\u201cIt didn\u2019t take me but a moment to think of which song it should be \u2013 one that I\u2019ve known and loved for years. Actually for decades,\u201d the county singer wrote on his blog.\n\n\n\n<figure class='\"wp-block-image\"'><img decoding='\"async\"' src="%5C%22https:%5C/%5C/i.ytimg.com%5C/vi%5C/FQJEQ2bLJ7Q%5C/hqdefault.jpg%5C%22" alt='\"\"\/'>\n\n\n\n<p>Rory helped his daughter learned the lyrics to a song he taught his oldest daughter Heidi when she was Indy\u2019s age.\n\n\n\n</p><p>The song? \u201cDaddy What If\u201d by Shel Silverstein.\n\n\n\n</p><p>He typed out the lyrics and then drew pictures next to the parts Indy would sing.
