Earlier this year, I invested $6,500 in a registered Black Angus bull for my small cattle operation. I had high hopes for him, expecting he would help strengthen my herd and justify the cost over time. The bull was strong, alert, and well-developed—just perhaps a little younger and slower to mature than expected. He explained that the vitamins and minerals would support the bull’s energy levels and overall development, giving him the boost he needed.
To my surprise, the change happened quickly. Within two days of starting the supplements, the bull became noticeably more active and engaged with the herd. His energy picked up, and he began moving confidently among the cattle, fulfilling the purpose for which he had been purchased. It was as though he had simply needed a little extra nutritional support—and once he had it, he was ready to settle into his role on the farm. The most unexpected moment, however, came shortly afterward. Feeling energized and enthusiastic, the bull became curious beyond the borders of his own pasture. It was a reminder that in farming, patience and proper care often turn uncertainty into success.
